AP Florida High School Football Rankings Week 5

The Associated Press has released the rankings for Week 5. The poll remains the same for Palm Beach County schools with a bit of shuffling in the ranks. Dwyer and Glades Central remain ranked #2 in the Class 4A and 2A respectively.

Cardinal Newman moved up a notch to #4 in the Class 2B poll with an impressive win over Pine Crest in week 5. Jupiter Christian is undefeated and stays atop the 1B rankings. Other Palm Beach County schools garnering recognition Glades Day, Park Vista, Seminole Ridge and Kings Academy led by junior linebacker Gage Batten.

Prep forward Hopkins tickled with trip to KU

Mikael Hopkins, a 6-foot-8, 215-pound senior power forward from DeMatha High School in Hyattsville, Md., completed his official weekend recruiting visit to Kansas University’s campus Sunday morning.

AP Florida High School Football Rankings Week 4

The Associated Press has released the rankings for Week 4. Making an entrance into the poll for the first time in years is Cardinal Newman High School based on its strong showing versus perennial powerhouse Pahokee and surprising 4-0 start. The Crusaders are ranked #5 in the Class 2B poll, the poll also features Palm Beach County programs Dwyer, Glades Central, American Heritage and Jupiter Christian.

The big game this week features undefeated Dwyer vs Atlantic. Dwyer has been dominant in its first 2 games. Atlantic will have to bring its best to keep this match close.

Rivers Ends Recruitment, Commits To Duke
