The USSSA sanctioned Wellington March Madness Basketball Tournament wrapped up Sunday March 7th.
Annually this tournament features some of the top youth basketball talent in Florida, this year was no exception teams from the 4th grade division through 10th grade. Even from the youngest groups the game was played with the type of passion and drive that can only be brought out by tournament basketball.
For their part, the Boynton Hoops All Stars fielded two teams, 4th Grade (10 yrs and under) and 5th Grade (11 yrs and under).
Both teams made strong showings by reaching the championship games in their respective divisions. The 4th grade team lost to the Miami Sharks 27-24 and the 5th graders lost to the Lauderhill Lions 58-46.
Others winners included Top Risers Heat Academy (6th Grade), Wellington Wolves Gold (7th Grade), South Florida Wildcats Blue (8th Grade), Prime Time (9th Grade), Wellington Wolves (10th Grade)
